Fort Atkinson city residents donated 114 trash cans and 128 recycling bins that were recently rendered obsolete by a City-wide change in waste pick-up. The cans will be spruced up and reincarnated as recycling bins for high-traffic locations around the city where the public is anxious for the opportunity to recycle.

The old recycling bins are the property of the city and will be available for sale. Jellystone Park, South of Fort Atkinson, will be purchasing a number of them for distribution to campers. The park will periodically pick up recyclables from campsites and take them to a central location for recycling.
